The responsibilities include conducting research related to supply chain management and working on projects with impact for the remaining research/development team. The work is collaborative in nature, teaming with other researchers/scientists, business executives/consultants, software engineers, external clients, and others.
Desired skills and experience
Candidates holding or willing to pursue a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management, Operations Research, Computer Science or related fields may apply to this position.
Also required are outstanding research potential/record, broad knowledge in operations research (especially mathematical programming), experience in applied problem solving, and excellent communication/collaboration skills. Applicants are expected to have keen interest in solving a wide range of problems, and to be an effective team member in interdisciplinary projects. Preference will also be given to applicants who are fluent in object-oriented programming languages, such as C++, and who possess some familiarity with concepts linked to supply chain management.
