PhD Positions in Technology Entrepreneurship, ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2017)

The Chair of Entrepreneurship at ETH Zürich is looking for promising young scholars to fill the following full-time vacancy PhD Positions in Technology Entrepreneurship

The successful candidate will contribute to the research at the Chair of Entrepreneurship. Your research will be in the general area of entrepreneurship, with a focus on technology entrepreneurship, possibly in a technological domain of choice. Your research will involve field studies in the Swiss Ecosystem, contacts with and interviews in technology start-ups as well as quantitative data collection. You should aim to publish your research in leading journals, relevant to your specific field of studies. You will furthermore assist in the teaching activities and outreach program of the chair.

We are seeking for top-level (top 10%) graduates with an MSc, MA, or MPhil degree in a technical and/or management discipline. You should be familiar with social science research methods such as surveys, interviews, or experiments and have a strong background in statistical analysis (or comfortable with learning it). You furthermore have excellent written and spoken English skills (at least C1 or equivalent). You demonstrate an affinity with theory, you are curious and self-directed, quality oriented, conscientious, creative, and a team player.

You will receive a PhD scholarship at the ETHZ for a period of one year, with the possibility of renewal for another four-year period after positive evaluation.
