The Fulbright Foundation in Greece will award up to three grants (depending on available funding) to artists to pursue non-degree studies and conduct career-launching projects in their field in the United States. Fulbright grants are awarded for minimum six months. Recipients may continue their project under the Foundation’s auspices for more than six months and up to nine months (maximum eligible period) only if funding from sources other than the Fulbright Foundation is obtained. In that case, proof of funds is required. The grant period may begin as early as September 1, 2018 and must be completed by May 31, 2019. Applications may be submitted only if applicants have received an official letter of invitation or admission from an educational institution and/or cultural organization in the United States.
Candidates are selected on the basis of academic excellence, potential for professional development, civic engagement, extra-curricular activities, and personal qualities/abilities to serve as a cultural ambassador for Greece. All awards are subject to the Fulbright Foundation policies in compliance with the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) guidelines and all governmental regulations regarding visas, immigration, travel and residence.
