IT Office at the Cyprus Institute

The CyI seeks to recruit a highly motivated professional to assume the position of the IT Officer of the CyI.

Education and Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology related fields
- Master’s degree will be considered an advantage
- Required relevant experience minimum of three (3) years.
- Experience in an academic institution will be considered an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Database Management such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL
- Knowledge of Operating Systems: MAC OS, Windows 7 / 10, Linux
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency /expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including applications of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and internet research.
- Proven interpersonal skills with experience providing complex IT support in high-profile environment with tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language. Knowledge of the Greek language will be considered an advantage
- Ability to work across teams and with a variety of projects and constituencies.
- Ability to independently perform complex tasks and take initiative as appropriate.
- Must have high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively while exercising diplomacy and discretion with a wide range of constituents.
- Willingness to see tasks to completion, sometimes necessitating working longer than normal hours or on weekends.
