2 Master Fellowships, Institute of Molecular & Biotechnology

The research group of Neurogenetics and Aging of IMBB under the European Program ERC-2016-PoC – GA737599 entitled: “ A Drug Discovery and Target Identification Screening Platform for Age-Associated Neurodegenerative Disorders – NeuronAgeScreen ” (Program Coordinator Prof. N.Tavernarakis) invites applications for two (2) MSc student positions with documented expertise in Molecular Biology and
Biochemistry and working experience in nematode genetics.

Position Description: Identification of bioactive compounds that effectively block neurodegeneration in the nematode.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Biology/related fields and prior documented experience on nematode genetics. Fluency in English is required.
Contract Duration: 10 months
Total budget: 450 € monthly studentship
Envisaged starting date: 1 December 2017

Evaluation procedure
Applications will be evaluated by a three-member evaluation committee. In case of interview procedure,
candidates will be invited to participate in person or teleconference.

The announcement of the results will be posted on the website of FORTH-IMBB.

This publication confers the right to object to the results within 5 working days of the date of the results announcement.
The selected candidates will be notified personally regarding the success of his/her application and will be requested to submit certified copies of his/her degrees. In the event that the documents submitted to not agree with the original application the candidate will be dismissed.
