Technical Consultant at the Vimachem

Vimachem was founded in Athens, Greece in 2007 and since then has been established as a leading supplier for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries of:

Vimachem is seeking a full-time, experienced “Technical Consultant” to join the team.

The Opportunity:
The Technical Consultant is a key resource and is responsible for executing technical deliverables and for training Vimachem customers in the operation of the various software and hardware applications that Vimachem distributes.

This role requires a combination of technical and interpersonal skills to be successful.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Ability to operate and train Vimachem Life Science customers in the use of:
o Vision inspection systems
o Thermal validation systems
o Continuous monitoring systems
o Decontamination systems

• Design and document business processes to identify appropriate configuration, integration points and event triggers.
• Write technical design documents where required.
• Provide subject matter expertise.
• Review, create, edit and test customer interfaces in various formats (CSV, XML, IDOC, EDI etc.).
• Support user testing activities such as troubleshooting, reading error messages and ensuring the expected results are delivered.
• Provide subject matter expertise on how global government regulations impact configurations.
• Provide deliverable status updates to the Implementation Project Manager in a timely, consistent and professional manner.
• Contribute to Professional Services best practices.
 
Skills and Requirements:
Essential
• BSc. in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to read, parse and manipulate various technical formats such as XML, EDI and CSV.
• Working knowledge of B2B technologies such as AS2, SFTP and Web Services.
• Highly self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, yet also work independently on complex problems.
• A demonstrated understanding of when and how to be flexible, and when and how to be firm.
• Working knowledge of MS Project, Visio and MS Office products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extremely high standards for documentation.

Desirable
• Knowledge of supply chain business processes including distribution, logistics, warehousing and serialization.
• Working knowledge of NET, C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of UNIX and/or JAVA is preferred.
• Life Sciences experience.
