The Laboratory of Thermodynamics in Emerging Technologies (LTNT) is in the department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT) at ETH Zürich is looking for
PhD students in several topics: Supericephobicity, Condensation heat transfer, Plasmonics, and Nanoscale printing
The PhD students focus on following topics: 1) Nanoengineering of supericephobic and omniphobic materials and applications. 2) Nanoengineering of metallic surfaces for enhanced phase change condensation heat transfer. 3) Plasmonics for energy applications. 4) Printing of functional materials at the nanoscale--applications for solar energy, electronics and photonics.
The candidates have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering from an internationally recognized institution and an excellent academic record will be considered. A strong interest in experimental work is required and previous experience with experimental work is an advantage.
