The TurkuNLP research group at the Department of Future Technologies, University of Turku is looking for
1-3 Doctoral Candidates and/or Postdoctoral Researchers (fixed-term)
The Language- and Speech Technology unit of the Department of Future Technologies is looking for part- or full-time Doctoral Candidate(s) and/or Postdoctoral Researcher(s) for a fixed-term position on a research project dealing with news generation from structured sources. The positions will end 31.12.2019 or upon mutual agreement earlier. The positions start on 1.6.2018 at the earliest, or upon mutual agreement.
The project is carried out in collaboration between the TurkuNLP research group and the news agency STT. The project is funded by Google Digital News Initiative Innovation Fund.
The objectives of the project relate to the application of natural language processing, especially deep learning methods, to language generation. A specific goal is to generate language without reliance on template-filling systems.
