Do you want to create novel material for a sustainable future? Wallenberg Wood Science Center looks for PhD students and post doc with background in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Material science and Physics
Wallenberg Wood Science Center (WWSC) is a research center with a focus on creating new sustainable materials using the wood as the starting point. The mission is to create knowledge and build competence for future innovative industrial value creation from trees. WWSC is a collaboration between Chalmers, KTH and Linköping University striving for scientific excellence and is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation.
WWSC has, over recent years, developed into a world-leader within research for new materials from wood and the Center is now ready to evolve our next ten year program, WWSC 2.0.
We are therefore recruiting a number of excellent PhD-students and post docs that will help us realizing the high ambitions in the new WWSC program.
As a WWSC researcher you will work in a multidisciplinary research environment closely together with physicists, chemical engineers, physical chemists, material scientists, organic chemists, and biotechnologists to explore the opportunities found in the forest.
