Position Purpose
Under the technical guidance and supervision of the Director, DFA, the Analyst provides independent financial analysis to several key departments and is actively involved in the project implementation, monitoring and recovery stages of projects ensuring accurate and high quality work in order to facilitate sound investment decisions.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
- Gathers and analyzes historical and forecasted financial information to assess the financial viability or expected performance of projects/operations;
- Writes due diligence reports and gives recommendations to structure the projects/operations/transactions to ensure risks are minimized or mitigated;
- Supports the Bank’s monitoring function by assessing the creditworthiness of an entity by analyzing its historical financial statements;
- Contributes creative and practical solutions to the restructuring of impaired and problematic assets;
- Examines requests for amendments, consents, notices and waivers and provide opinions;
- Participates in client meetings, Credit Committees, Board of Directors Meetings, and business trips, after consultation with the Director, DFA, to support the Bank’s business objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- First-level University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; or a first-level University degree in any other area followed by a master’s degree or equivalent in the above areas;
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a financial institution or credit department of a bank;
- Credit risk, structuring and recovery experience.
