We are offering research positions for the development of on-chip squeezed light sources and for the development of photonic integrated applications in continuous variable quantum information science.
Since squeezed light was observed for the first time more than 30 years ago (1), the technology has undergone numerous developments and we are now at a point where efficient photonic integration seems viable. In this project we will explore the generation of squeezed and continuous variable entangled light in a photonic integrated circuit , aiming at scalability, cost effectiveness and low power consumption, while still maintaining quantum properties with highest quality. The ultimate aim is to develop a scalable platform which eventually allows for the integration of squeezed light into commercial applications such as quantum sensors and quantum communication devices. Within the project, we will also explore different continuous variable quantum information applications using the photonic integrated squeezed light circuits.
