The Research Group on the Production of Space and Regional Redefinitions (GAsPERR) at School of Science and Technology, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Presidente Prudente, Brazil, notifies the selection process for eight post-doctorate grants to work with the research project named Social-spatial fragmentation and contemporary urbanization: scales, vectors, rhythms, forms, and contents (FragUrb), on the following themes:
1- Centre, centrality and mobility;
2- Spatial practices and daily life;
3- Public spaces;
4- Social spatial fragmentations, production and consumption of housing.
The selected candidates are going to work at GAsPERR, FCT UNESP, at Rua Roberto Simonsen, 305, Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, Brazil.
FAPESP post-doctorate will grant R$7.373,10 monthly payment, during 24 months and it could be renewed for 2 periods of 12 months, depending on the scholarships’ performances.
Profile and selection:
Candidates must have a PhD in Geography or in related areas for less than seven years.
The scholarships selection will be done through the evaluation criteria of student’s background as a researcher (areas of master and doctoral subjects; research projects on which they have participated in; publications; thesis and master directions already done, if any.
Candidates must write a text about their work planning (annexes 1-8) for which it was registered. The post doctorate internship project coordinator or supervisor will interview the candidates, which could be done on Skype for candidates who do not live in Presidente Prudente.
