Welcome to Linnaeus University! A place for knowledge, ideas and development. For growth potential and a belief in the future. In Småland and in the world.
The Department of Building Technology aims to work together with neighbouring departments – Forestry and Wood Technology, Built Environment and Energy Technology and Mechanical Engineering – to create a research environment that includes topics related to structural design and material science. This research environment is based at the Faculty of Technology. The four departments have a total of around 110 employees, including 20 professors.
The University is planning a 5-year civil engineering programme in Sustainable Building Technology and currently developing a new 2-year MSc programme in Sustainable Structural Engineering. This means that research across the field of Structural Engineering will be extended and that new research-based courses in the field of Building Technology will be developed. This challenge requires that new personnel are recruited. The current employment is part of this plan.
An academic position at Linnaeus University holds manifold, attractive research funding and industry collaboration possibilities.
