The International Max Planck Research School IMPRS “From Molecules to Organisms” program is offered by the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in conjunction with the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and the Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen, Germany.
The special feature of our program is its emphasis on interdisciplinary interactions. We want to train the next generation of scientists to study complex biological processes that cannot be adequately understood within the limits of a single discipline.
Training is offered in a range of core and specialised skills; a thesis advisory committee provides individual project guidance. English is the language of the school; places are fully funded.
We seek applicants who hold or expect to gain an excellent degree in computational biology, biochemistry or a related subject at Masters level or equivalent. You should possess skills and knowledge matching to your intended project, plus a high level of motivation for basic research. Applicants with degrees obtained outside the European Higher Education Area should supply scores from the GRE General Test.
