Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer your role within the company will be multi-faceted.
You will be trained on leading-edge enterprise decision support software,
machine learning and data science techniques, as well as business processes
for the retail industry. You will apply technical expertise, industry best
practices and critical thinking to solve intellectually challenging problems.
Activities involved:
• Developing and configuring information systems according to business requirements
• Installing, administering software and system integration in enterprise IT environments (on-premise or cloud)
• Ensuring availability and nominal operation of information systems
• Producing customer and internal systems documentation
• Developing in-house software and tools
• Performing in-depth analysis and mining insights using vast amounts of real-word data
• Mastering machine learning and AI techniques to innovate and solve real-world problems

Basic Requirements
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with an Object-Oriented programming language (preferably Java or C++)
• Hands-on experience in UNIX shell scripting (bash/ksh) and systems administration
• Solid understanding of key computing systems and networking concepts
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Fulfilled military obligations (if applicable)
• Ability to travel abroad intermittently (up to 25%)
Personal qualities
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good to have
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or relevant faculties
• 2 years of work experience in a similar position
• Hands-on experience with the C or python programming languages
• Hands-on experience in Relational Database Management Systems
• Hands-on experience with R or similar statistical data science/analysis tools
• Experience in the application of machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques in real-world problems
• Experience in the retail industry domain, supply chain optimization or enterprise planning software
