Developer (M/F) to join the IT-team at Brepols Publishing Services EPE (Thessaloniki, Greece)

In collaboration with our analysts (based in Belgium) you will develop and support state-of-the-art, data-driven applications to support our processes and publications.

You are responsible for:

- coding, enhancing, debugging and testing new and existing web-based applications
- finding creative, powerful algorithms that store, process, index, enhance, convert, … publishing data and metadata to support back-end systems
- supporting an enthusiastic team of publishing managers and analysts, with diverse skills, that are working to build the best possible tools for the internal and external customers.

Your Profile:

- well versed in Computer Sciences, IT-professional in heart and soul
- experienced in ASP.NET, WinForms, C# and the .NET framework (or Java developer willing to switch)
- knowledge of SQL, XML, CSS and web APIs;
- XSL, JavaScript experience is a plus
- analytic mind capable of adapting to multiple user environments and an affinity for the integration of databases and applications
- interest in AI, Machine Learning and/or NLP is welcomed
- a passion for development and Internet technologies, but with an interest in history, languages, …
- good communication skills
- proficiency in English is a must; other languages are a plus
- flexible, ready for self-study, diligent team player with the skills to work individually and to finish projects autonomously
