A leading manufacturing company in the industrial sector of Volos is seeking to recruit a person for the position of: Supply Chain Assistant
The position holder will report to the Supply Chain Supervisor and he/she will be responsible for:
• Negotiating with suppliers
• Preparing a logistics schedule to ensure on time order delivering
• Delivering solutions to supplier & transportation inefficiencies
• Working closely with production, accounting and warehouse departments of the company
• Negotiating quotes and offers to obtain best price and service
• Researching for new suppliers possibly on a worldwide scale
• Evaluating supplier performance
• Keeping updated records of quotations and offers
• Raw materials scheduling
• Shipment monitoring and reporting
• Customs agents transportation – fees tendering
• Placing orders through SAP
Job Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Logistics / Engineering
• 1-2 years in a similar position (preferably in an industrial environment)
• Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of extra language will be considered as an extra asset.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of Customs legislation
• Good communication skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Time management skills
