The Intersex: New Interdisciplinary Approaches (INIA) network is a large Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) project funded by the European Commission, under the H2020 program, and is coordinated by the University of Huddersfield. INIA is a consortium of 5 Universities and a School of Public Health, plus 15 partner organisations. It brings together scientists from disciplines including Sociology, Social Policy, Politics, Law, Cultural Studies, Healthcare, Medical Ethics, and Psychology, working together with activists from NGOs and healthcare professionals. The goal of INIA is to train a new cohort of 10 researchers specialized in the developing field of Intersex Studies who will be capable of developing interdisciplinary approaches to supporting the wellbeing and human rights of intersex people and those who do not identify as intersex but have some variations of sex characteristics. Regular training events and secondments to other EU partners will develop transferable skills and facilitate the exchange of ideas between Early Stage Researchers (ESRs). INIA offers a very good salary and benefits package to successful applicants.
