The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. In response to the influx of refugees in Greece, The IRC Hellas has been working in Lesvos since June 2015, currently providing support to Middle East and North Africa refugees.
The organization in Greece seeks for:
1. Communications, Content and Information Officer (Mytilini).
Requirements:
- A master's/bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations or other related field from an accredited university
- Experience in, or familiarity with humanitarian assistance programming and operating in an emergency context
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to visit field-sites and document findings
- Knowledge of/experience with photography, videography and social media
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Must be eligible to work in EU countries.
Experiences:
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar capacity. Experience of working with USAID or other donor-funded projects will be preferred
- Candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience with press will be a distinct advantage
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment and dynamic environment
- Team player with experience in a multi-cultural environment
- Should be able to independently prioritize tasks and meet short deadlines, including approvals process
- Arabic, Dutch, Farsi, or Greek language skills are a plus.

2. Protection Manager (Molyvos, Greece).
Requirements:
- University Degree preferably Law, Public Health, Social Work or other social science related field
- 2-3 years professional experience in protection-related work (protection, child protection and/or GBV
- Previous experience supervising and managing a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting
- Proven training/capacity building experience
- Previous experience in emergency preparedness and response
- Proven abilities in developing work plans, data collection and analysis and performance monitoring
- Demonstrated experience in grant management and proposal writing
- Good computer skills in programs such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Capable of applying skills and knowledge in a range of capacities, including direct implementation, advisory functions, training and the transfer of technical knowledge and management skills to others.
Personal qualities:

Requirements:
- University degree in civil/environmental engineering or related field;
- Minimum 5 years professional technical experience in Environmental Health, roads, structures and/or water delivery/production;
- Minimum 2 years overseas experience, preferably in a conflict or post disaster setting;
- Solid managerial skills and experience in an international multi-cultural setting;
- Strong project planning, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- Proven technical writing skills;
- Budget management experience of $1,000,000 USD+
- Competent in Windows, MS office programs, AutoCAD (or similar computer aided design), email and database experience;
- Interpersonal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure in a professional manner

4. Finance Controller (Mytilini).
Requirements:
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or Finance with a recognized professional certificate in accounting such as CPA, or a Masters degree in Accounting.
Experience:
- Strong preference for past IRC experience as a Senior Finance Manager or Finance Controller
- Minimum three years experience of managerial experience in the financial area of a non-profit organization or five years of managerial experience in finance in an international commercial organization.
- Requires extensive experience in working with computerized accounting systems, standard spreadsheet and database programs.
