This position provides administrative and strategic leadership under the direction of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), the higher education division of Anatolia College (www.anatolia.edu.gr). The scope of this position includes student recruitment, selection, record keeping and reporting, financial aid, and retention.
This is a “hands-on” position that requires much student contact, frequent travel and outreach to ACT’s primary student recruitment spheres; namely Greece, the Balkans, and other countries in the Eastern Mediterannean. ACT’s vision is to be the premier, internationally-oriented, English-language college of tertiary education in the Balkan region serving to promote both innovative learning and humanitarian values. It offers American-style higher education in the areas of business, humanities, social sciences, and information technology to a diverse student body originating primarily from Europe and North America. ACT’s striking campus is the hub of the largest study abroad site in Southeastern Europe from/for students enrolled at North American campuses.
Fluency in English and Greek is required as well as multicultural cultural skills. ACT is seeking a charismatic individual who can champion the interests of enrollment at ACT in a variety of different educational settings anddemonstrate excellent communication and management skills, with intellectual vision and energy to work effectively and collaboratively with all segments of the College community.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (a graduate degree is preferred) is required; additionally, eight to ten years of progressive leadership in student outreach, enrollment and retention services, and leadership responsibility for five or more employees should be part of the applicant’s professional background. Experience in utilizing enrollment management software and implementation and management of marketing, recruiting, and admissions processes - through an understanding and utilization of social media and electronic outreach strategies - is also desired.
