Senior Sustainable Packaging Design Engineer-Researcher in Athens

Our client, a leading multinational company, producing world famous, innovative personal care consumer goods, leaders in their fields, is looking for a Senior Sustainable Packaging Design Engineer-Researcher, for its R&D Department in Attiki, Greece.

The Position: The role of the incumbent will be part of product and packaging design innovation dept. and he/she will be responsible to design new packaging solutions and drive the sustainability process within the team as well as be the liaison at the international sustainability team. He she will also manage the sustainability guidelines in line with production, procurement etc.
- He/she will manage and diffuse sustainability disciplines thru all PLC and processes, will contribute with fresh ideas, will participate in the sustainability committee, will design packaging (3D) and will present his/her or team ideas and progress to larger teams and management.
- He/she will collaborate with other teams such as marketing, R&D, procurement, production etc
- His/her methods will be agile, creative and supportive.
- Ηe/she is an essential part of R&D New Product Development initiation.

Role Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a University Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Design or Industrial Design. Postgraduate studies with a focus to new product design and/or sustainability will be considered a plus.
- Additionally they should have past experience 6-8 years at minimum in a position related to packaging development most preferably in a multinational environment and a proven experience in sustainability. Experience in structural packaging is required and in depth study of sustainability materials/factors/methods etc.
International experience is a must and he/she most probably has been a member of an in-house corporate packaging design.
- Excellent English is also a must.
- Candidates should be expert in 2D & 3D Design packages, preferably in Pro-Engineer, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Additionally, they should have very good project management, be acquainted in reporting methodology and possess communication skills. Team collaboration and communication skills through global communication tools (web meetings, teleconferencing) is essential.
