Prototype Development Engineer in Athens

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (Ref: BPDE 09/15)
CLIENT: Our client, a leading multinational company, with innovative consumer products in the field of consumer goods that provide easy answers for everyday needs, is looking for a Prototype Development Engineer for its R&D center in Greece.

POSITION: The role of the incumbent will be to propose, develop and evaluate new metal part prototypes. Moreover, he/she will develop equipment or processes for producing metal prototypes for evaluation and real tests. Finally, he/she will be responsible of project management and/or task management of projects in the new parts design and prototyping sector in collaboration with other R&D departments, marketing and external collaborators.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must possess a Mechanical or Materials Engineering degree, preferably at post graduate level.
The position requires at least three years of experience in an industrial or laboratory environment especially with tooling creation. He/she might have been developing and designing mechanisms, metal machining, forming and joining operations. He/she will have ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks, ability to translate shopfloor “language” to scientific terms, dispose a wide degree of analysis and synthesis, project management and presentation skills. Candidates must be able to review testing reports analyze and present them, in order to make design engineering decisions for part/product development.
Moreover he/she should possess high level of CAD/CAM design skills – preferably PTC/Creo and understand the R&D develop stages. Candidates must also have strong project management experience, with proven success record, in order to plan, track, execute and follow-up project tasks. Past experience should also include team collaboration and communication skills through global communication tools (web meetings, teleconferencing).
