Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Director DPM, the Senior Officer is responsible for the recovery/restructuring and loan work out process of problem operations; providing high quality input into monitoring process; assessing client needs, interpreting and applying relevant strategies and policies, rules and regulations and providing solutions to a wide spectrum of complex issues; recommending on measures and steps to safeguard and protect Bank’s investments, as well as making a significant contribution to the maintaining of the bank’s impaired loan portfolio at a minimum level by means of pro-active proposals on credit management, practical work-out and debt restructuring.
The expected key impact of the work of the Senior Officer in assisting with the supervision/monitoring, corporate recovery, operational restructuring and performance improvement of operations is to contribute to the achievement of the operational objectives and mandate of the Bank.
Minimum requirements for the position
- Education: First level University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Experience: At least 8 years of relevant working experience including proven experience in the restructuring of loans and portfolio management (successful track record).
- Computer skills: Excellent working knowledge of Word/Excel/Power Point packages.
- Advanced financial analysis skills including the ability to prepare financial projections and financial models.
- Well-developed credit/workout skills including an understanding of major risk factors that impact on impaired loans in today’s changing financial and economic environment.
- Ability to work intensively with lawyers on debt restructuring.
- Excellent command of English.
