The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.
The IRC Hellas has been working in Lesvos in Greece since June 2015, currently providing support to Middle East and North Africa refugees.
The organization in Greece seeks for:
1. Shelter and Maintenance Engineer Manager (Molyvos)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3years Engineering experience including contract management
- Degree in civil engineering
- Demonstrated experience with an array of management issues and solutions, related to construction and maintenance.
- Strong leadership, coordination and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated success leading the work of culturally diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability with project grants management, including project design, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, etc.
- Experience with capacity and partnership building.
- Supervisory experience, especially in a multicultural setting.
- Strong-cross cultural skills and experience working in multicultural environments.
- Fluent in Greek and English.

2. Loading Assistant (Molyvos).
Job Requirements:
- Be familiar with local regulations / laws.
- Strong sense of personal integrity.
- Familiarity with Lesvos island route,
- Holder of a valid driving license.
- Competent in spoken and written English, and Greek as a mother language.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Technical degree. Mechanical background is a plus.

3. Transportation Officer (Molyvos)
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of generic supply chain and practices (IRC Hellas or NGO experience advantageous),
- Familiarity with Lesvos island route,
- Familiarity with Mytilene and Molyvos market,
- Holder of a valid driving license,
- Competent in spoken and written English,
- Good mathematical skills,
- Competent use of PC especially spreadsheets.

Environmental Health Officer (Molyvos)
Person specification:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering/water/environmental management, or experience to match
- Experience in solid waste management is desirable
- Experience supervising and managing a team of 10 or more people
- Demonstrated experience with an array of leadership qualities including managing issues and solutions
- Strong leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills including demonstrated success leading the work of culturally diverse teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge on various Greek environmental, hygiene and sanitation policy, stands, sphere guidelines, etc.
- Ability to manage project grants including project design, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting.
- Experience with capacity building
- Flexibility to work with changing demands.
- Strong cross cultural skills and experience working in multicultural environments.
- Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of different sectors of the community.
- Trust and wide acceptance by the community.
- Oral and written fluency in Greek and English. Knowledge of Arabic or Farsi is an asset.
