The integrated Research Training Group (iRTG) "Polymers: random coils and beyond" at the Faculty of Natural Sciences II at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Faculty of Physics and Earth Sciences at Leipzig University, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), invites applications for 4 doctoral student positions (research and teaching assistant, up to 3 years) in the area of polymer science.
The integrated Research Training Group "Polymers: random coils and beyond" provides in-depth training in interdisciplinary soft matter research. Besides the design and preparation of specific materials, a thorough understanding of the basic principles of chemistry, physics and engineering of polymers and soft matter is one of the aims of the research within our graduate school. In addition to the development of a broad background in polymer science, the gain of transferable skills is part of the structured program.
We are looking for highly motivated and qualified national and international doctoral students with strong interest in polymer science. Applicants should preferably hold a Master of Science or equivalent degree in Physics or Chemistry. A very good command of the English language is required.
