OMV is certainly one of the places. All female high school graduates who are starting a technical degree program at an Austrian university or who are in the first or second semester of a technical degree program in Austria may apply.
OMV launched the ‘Scholarship for Women in Technology in 2012 to specifically encourage women to take up technical professions and to raise the ratio of female graduates in technical fields of study in the long term. Running since the fall of 2012, the scholarships provide financial and practical support each year to female technical students for the duration of the bachelor program.
The 15 winners of the scholarship will be invited to a formal ceremony in OMV’s head office for the presentation of their scholarship certificates by Christopher Veit, Senior Advisor E&P Capability Development.
Eligibility
Requirements for the applicant include a completed high school diploma and verifiable start date for a technical degree program in Austria, preferably at the Montan University Leoben, the University of Vienna, the University of Technology of Vienna, Graz or Linz.
Scholarship
The beneficiaries are supported to the tune of EUR 350 per month. Alongside that, OMV provides the opportunity to complete various internships and assists with the thesis.
