The EUMedEA Crash Course “Managing Crises at EU Med Borders” is an advanced study and training event for PhD students interested in EU external action and the management of crises at the EU Med borders, migration in particular. MA students seeking to deepen their knowledge on these topics are also welcome. More specifically, the purpose of the EUMedEA Crash Course is threefold:
First, it aims to provide participants with an intensive teaching. For this purpose, invited international academics will give frontal lectures on key selected topics;
Second, it aims to support PhD students in debating and fine-tuning their research projects. Specific sections will be devoted to PhD students’ presentations and will be followed by substantive discussions about how to improve their research both at the theoretical and empirical level;
