The Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program (GDFP) is a scholar exchange program for Greek universities to host a Greek-born scholar in the areas of collaborative research, curriculum co-development and/or graduate student teaching and mentoring. The GDFP is funded by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to the Institute of International Education (IIE). With this grant, IIE aims to support 40 fellowships over two selection cycles that will create collaborative, mutually beneficial engagements between Greek and North American academics and universities.
The Greek Diaspora Fellowship Program, which is funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and will be implemented and administered by the Institute of International Education, aims to support 40 U.S.- and Canada-based Greek-born academics to partner with Greek Universities over two application cycles. The selected Fellows will work in the areas of curriculum co-development, collaborative research and/or graduate student teaching/mentoring.
The program is based on IIE’s successful Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP).
The GDFP will accept project request submissions from September 7, 2016 - January 31, 2017.
Any questions about the program/application process can be forwarded to greekdiaspora@iie.org.
