Fellowships Programme, Institute for Advanced Study, University of Strasbourg, France (2017)

The University of Strasbourg Institute for Advanced Study (USIAS) supports original high-quality research in all scientific fields. Each year, the Institute awards between ten and twenty Fellowships for a period of between three months and two years, to enable the pursuit of innovative research projects by selected researchers, who become Fellows at USIAS.

In this 5th call for proposals, USIAS welcomes applications from high-quality scientists from outside Strasbourg, wishing to carry out research in Strasbourg in collaboration with Strasbourg-based researchers, and/or using a specific Strasbourg facility (equipment, library, etc.).

In addition, Strasbourg-based researchers are invited to apply, if they seek to work on particularly original research ideas and apply their knowledge and skills to new domains outside of their current field of work (change of direction in research).

Applications should present an original, high quality research proposal, in terms of ambition, topic, methodology or perspective (interdisciplinary) that has the potential to make a step-change contribution or enable the emergence of a new research domain.
