Roaming in the EU Facebook Photo Contest

From 15th June onwards Europeans can use their mobile phones (calls, SMS and data) when travelling in the EU with no extra roaming charges. This means people can easily stay in touch with friends, colleagues and family members when travelling without the fear of high phone bills. To mark the end of roaming charges for travellers in the EU, the European Commission has launched the Roaming in the EU Facebook Photo Contest.

Who can participate
Any permanent EU resident is invited to submit up to three pictures showing how they use their mobile phone or tablet without roaming fees while travelling in the EU.

How
Pictures should have a short description and should be sent via Messenger to Digital Single Market Facebook Page.
Pictures will be then uploaded to the contest photo gallery.
Entrants will have to invite their friends to Like the pictures.
Three winners will be selected based on the number of Likes of their pictures in the Facebook photo gallery of the contest.
Pictures with the highest number of Likes on 16th September 2017 00:01 Central European Summer Time will be the winners.

Prizes
Each winner will receive:
- two Interrail passes entitling the holder to travel across the EU in any train;
- type of the Interrail pass: Adult, 2nd class Global Ticket enabling the holder to travel on 7 days within a period of 1 month. https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/global-pass (approx. value : €330 per ticket);
- the winners will have to specify the date when they want to use the Interrail tickets. The Interrail tickets must be used within 12 months after the winners are announced.
