As a trainee you will perform one or more of the following tasks (the activities may differ across divisions):
contribute to enhancing analytical, econometric and forecasting tools;
retrieve data from public and commercial databases;
process, consolidate and transform datasets, and maintain and develop databases, in order to monitor nominal and real economic developments, fiscal developments and/or financial market indicators, possibly including the use of micro and intraday data;
conduct empirical analyses using databases, Microsoft Excel and econometrics software;
contribute to the ECB’s Economic Bulletin and other regular internal and published products of the Directorate General Economics, for instance by preparing tables and charts for reports or for PowerPoint presentations, in collaboration with other business areas within the ECB.
You will work closely with Economists and Research Analysts in your Division, contributing to short-term tasks and longer-term projects.
