A position for research technician is available in the Metabolic Biology Laboratory of Dr. Konstantinos
Drosatos in the Center for Translational Medicine of the Department of Pharmacology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have the ability to think through innovative ideas, have a collaborative approach and strong communication skills. The candidate will have the following responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Perform DNA and RNA isolation, qPCR, protein analysis methods and cell culture
Multiplex RNA and protein analysis methods
Experience in working with mice
Immunohistochemistry
Microscopy (light, fluorescence, electron)
Mouse care, husbandry and genotyping
Assist with laboratory supply orders
Maintain chemical inventory. Knowledge of the CEMS system of Temple University or similar
Maintain a high level of detail in performing procedures and documentation of procedures
Perform maintenance of laboratory equipment; maintains records and procedures for management requirements
