Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Estonia and Archimedes Foundation annually offer scholarships to foreign nationals, pursuant to bilateral intergovernmental or inter-ministerial agreements concluded with other countries.
Pursuant to the agreements Estonia offers to the students and researchers of some countries scholarships and vice versa. Starting from the year 2016 the scholarships based on the international agreements are offered in the framework of the National Scholarship Programme for international students, researchers and academic staff.
The types of scholarships are the following:
- scholarships at the first level of higher education for subjects associated with Estonian language and culture;
- scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral study;
- scholarships for summer and winter schools;
- mobility grants for researchers and academic staff.
Deadlines
The application including additional documents should be submitted in two ways: electronically and by mail.
The application including additional documents will be submitted through the electronic system at http://archimedes.ee/en/foundation/document-submission-form/ by 31 March at the latest (Eastern European Time UTC/GMT +2 hours).
31 March is the deadline for the scholarships at the first level of higher education and scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral study and mobility grants for researchers and academic staff.
The deadline for the scholarships of summer and winter schools is 15.04.2016. The application, including additional documents will be submitted through the electronic system at http://archimedes.ee/en/foundation/document-submission-form/ by 15 April at the latest.
