Web Development and Support Officer at the Cyprus Institute

The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a non-profit science and technology institution based in Cyprus and led by an acclaimed Board of Trustees. The research aims of the Cyprus Institute are represented by three research centers: the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CASTORC), the Science and Technology in Archaeology Research Center (STARC), and the Energy Environment Water Research Center (EEWRC). Considerable cross-center interaction is a characteristic of the Institute’s culture.

Education and Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design (including Web Development, Computer Architecture, Network Design) etc.
- Master’s degree will be considered an advantage
- Required relevant experience minimum of three (3) years.
- Experience in an academic institution will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with computer coding and databases.
- Experience in website management
- Experience and proficiency with CMS (Joomla and/or WordPress), PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and relational database design
- Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of the Greek language will be considered an advantage
- Ability to design user interfaces for multiple devices & knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator will be considered an advantage
- Motivated, creative, resourceful, and solution oriented individual who can work on multiple projects with limited supervision in a high-pressure work environment
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt in a multicultural environment
