„Crème de la crème – quality and shared leadership in youth exchanges” is an 8 days training course (including travel days) which will take place in Adamov, Czech Republic, April 2018. The training course will gather 28 youth workers, young leaders, volunteers from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Estonia, Turkey, Belarus and Greece in order to learn and create something innovative together.

The aim of the project is to raise the quality of youth exchanges and the work of youth organizations in general by enhancing creativity in the program and methodology of their projects and by ensuring that the young youth exchange group leaders are implementing their project in shared leadership, possessing a deep understanding of the concept and the principles of non-formal education. On the longer term, the project will raise the quality of youth exchanges organized by the partner organizations by delegating skilled and competent group leaders who put a special focus on shared leadership, creativity and youth participation aspects and who are able to support non-formal learning processes of young people.

The young leaders will dare to take initiatives and try out new ideas, being afraid of failure will not stop them from these, therefore they will participate more actively in the life of their organization. At the same time, we would like to equip youth workers and youth activity leaders with handy tools and enable them to make creative use of the tools provided, hence contribute to the quality and innovation of youth exchange projects and youth work in general. We will build up competencies of the participants in these fields by the methodology of non-formal education.

Our main topics are: non-formal education, shared leadership, youth participation and creative program design.
