We offer ten PhD positions in the DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG) 2364 – “MOMbrane: The multifaceted functions and dynamics of the mitochondrial outer membrane (MOM)"
The aim of our RTG is to achieve comprehensive understanding of the structure, function, regulation, and biogenesis of the mitochondrial outer membrane.
To achieve this goal we will employ a multidisciplinary approach including structural biology, disease models, molecular cell biology, proteomics, biotechnology, and biophysics.
Expected qualifications:
- Excellent academic background and a Master degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, cell biology, biophysics, or a similar program.
- Practical scientific experience
- Very good English knowledge
