Project description
Third-cycle subject: Electrical Engineering
The projects aim at the development of optimal asset management strategies for power systems, including the very important aspect of data acquisition and cost. The projects are on the same main topic, divided into component and system aspects. The primary study objects are expected to be cables and sub transmission stations, since they represent important parts of the power system with different characteristics. The expected results are methods for optimal asset management decisions with respect to data.
Unique research challenges:
Your background is an MSc most likely in applied mathematics and/or electric power, knowledge in the areas of statistics, economics and big data are all very positive for the position.
The project is funded by the research center SweGRIDS with a strong industry connection. It is expected that the candidates will spend considerable time working with real data and problems together with our partners, E.ON and Vattenfall, ensuring that the research developed is applicable and useful and possible to commercialize.
