The Department
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (TUTA) of Aalto University conducts world-class research and provides education that focus on the creation and transformation of technology-based business. The department is seeking to hire Doctoral Candidates to new areas of research within the department’s three strategic focus areas: strategy and venturing, operations and service management, and entrepreneurial leadership. Our internationally acknowledged research and close collaboration with industry are the foundations of our highly recognized teaching and research. Our faculty publishes continuously in the most highly ranked academic journals, engages actively in top tier academic conferences, and serves in the editorial board of leading journals. Full time doctoral student position at TUTA
The approximate timescale for completing the doctoral degree is 4-5 years. The employment and doctoral student admission decisions are made in December and the new doctoral students will start at latest in March 2019. The employment will be two years full-time for the first contract, which can be extended to cover the rest of the doctoral study. The maximum funding period is 5 years. The salary is competitive and the contract includes occupational health and social security benefits.
