On behalf of our client, a UK founded start-up that delivers projects blending software engineering, data analytics, health services and product innovation expertise, we are looking for a Junior Research and Innovation Project Manager for their team in Athens!

On any given day, you’ll be helping this fast-growing Team fulfill its promise to improve people’s lives through the seamless interaction with technology and data science by:

• Contributing to the project management of research projects and for setting up new proposals in new challenges and research funding opportunities
• Identifying new research directions while at the same time being an integral part of the ideation and proposal setup process
• Representing the start-up in at least one project (either as coordinator or partner) to maintain an edge on current research, technology and industry developments and at the same time be able to foster stronger partnerships with organizations across Europe

What you will bring to this role:

• Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Telecoms or Electrical Engineering
• Early experience (1 year minimum) in managing and delivering complex projects
• Initial track record in leading/participating in winning research projects primarily co- funded by the European Commission
• Your understanding of systems, architecture and applications design as well as AI/ML Concepts from the information extraction perspective
• Your self-tendency to capture the big picture and to align innovation activities with business growth opportunities
• Your ability to work collaboratively as part of a fast-moving multi-disciplinary team as well as independently
• Your natural aptitude in communicating effectively in English

It will be nice if you could also bring the following:

• PhD or an MBA will be considered a plus
• Experience in grant writing for the EU
