Web Developer (Alexandroupoli)

WebHotelier is looking for a young, highly motivated and passionate Web Developer. The successful candidate will become part of a small, highly skilled, fast paced professional team of Full Stack developers / Software Engineers and will be working in our newly established office in Alexandroupolis, Greece. We are searching for candidates who are constantly looking to enrich their knowledge with the latest technology trends and patterns, eager to work on complex and demanding projects.

WebHotelier is the next-generation booking engine for Hotels, featuring unique usability features and the most advanced tools to maximize their online booking revenue. Over 5000 hotels worldwide use the WebHotelier platform as their central reservation system.

Requirements:

Education:

• University degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Fluency in English

Desired Skills:

• Back-end technology experience (preferably Java or Node.js)
• Relational database experience (preferably SQL Server or MySQL)
• Good knowledge of Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• Good understanding of HTTP, REST and Web Services in general
• Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Solid communication and team working skills

Experience:

• 1-3 years in similar position
• Previous work in travel industry would be a plus
• Experience in GraphQL, React, Event sourcing/CQRS, Cloud Computing, Docker/Kubernetes would be a plus
• It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise or experience across all of these areas. What matters most is strong technical background, and eagerness to learn, build, and grow.

• Undertake innovative projects that involve cutting-edge technologies and fresh ideas
• Being involved with the support team to provide technical support
• Working with 3rd party integration partners to solve connectivity issues
