The On Purpose Associate Programme develops the leaders of the future who use their career to create positive social and environmental change, and we invite you to join us.
As an Associate you work with us for a year, developing yourself as a leader and a change-maker. We are the antidote to textbook learning and tuition fees, giving you on-the-ground experience (and paying you for it) through placements in two purpose-driven organisations, and a unique learning and development programme that will equip you for a future in the space.
You also join our community of change-makers. From your cohort, through the mentors and coach you are matched with, and on to our Fellows community and network in the space, we connect you with hundreds of like-minded people.
The Associate Programme is full time, based in London and runs for 12 months from April 2020. You work in your placement 4.5 days a week and spend Friday afternoons with your cohort for our Learning & Development programme. You are paid a salary of £22.5k p.a. for the year, and six months after the programme alumni are paid a salary of £45k p.a on average.
Here’s what the Associate Programme looks like:
Placements: You work with two purpose-oriented organisations for six months each, doing strategically important work and reporting each organisation’s senior team.
In past cohorts, Associates have managed a climate activism campaign for Ben & Jerry’s, reporting to their European Head of Social Mission; built the food waste charity FareShare’s operational plan for new regional centres and analysed impact investment deals at Big Society Capital.
You will take on new challenges and use your existing skills to solve key problems for the organisations. Here are more details about the day-to-day work of Associates.
