Professor Miia Lindström’s research group focus on molecular, epidemiological, ecological, and evolutionary facets of spore-forming and psychrotrophic food-borne pathogenic bacteria, with an emphasis on Clostridium botulinum and Listeria monocytogenes. We have an open position for a postdoctoral researcher in an ERC-funded project focusing on the mechanisms and regulation of C. botulinum neurotoxin production. The project utilizes state-of-the-art single-cell biology and –omics profiling tools and aims to understand the regulation, biological rationales, and control of bacterial toxin production.
There are two postdoctoral researcher positions available. The appointment is for 2 years, preferably starting in January-February 2020. The deadline for submitting applications is December 15, 2019, but review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
