The Applied Biophotonics Research Laboratory headed by Dr. Eli Rothenberg at New York University School of Medicine (http://www.rothenberglab.com/) is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scientists with interests in DNA Replication and Repair and the utilization of cutting-edge interdisciplinary single-molecule fluorescence microscopy techniques.
The research in our laboratory focuses on diverse molecular mechanisms of mammalian DNA Repair and DNA Damage Response, their dysfunction in human disease and cancer, and their utilization as target for therapeutic intervention, with an emphasis on cellular stress response and pharmacological mechanisms of action .
The experimental approach involves the development and application of a set of innovative single-molecule based biochemical and cellular imaging technologies including: Live-cell single-molecule tracking, multi super-resolution microscopy and single-molecule FRET; along with advanced data analyses tools and contemporary cell biology, molecular biology and biochemical approaches.
