HIVA - Research Institute for Work and Society is a multidisciplinary research institute of KU Leuven.
The Research group ‘Sustainable Development’ focuses on global challenges and on the actions that different social actors (can) take to address these challenges. The research is mostly policy- and practice-oriented and includes the following themes: sustainable supply chains, decent work in developing countries, sustainable development goals (SDGs), environmental policy and climate change, civil society, monitoring and evaluation, migration and global citizenship. Clients include the Belgian and Flemish governments, multilateral and bilateral development organisations, international NGOs and other civil society organisations.
