The department of Ocean Science and Technology at Hanyang University offers fellowships to outstanding students interested in Arctic/Antarctic climate change and sea ice modeling. Our doctoral candidates contribute to the understanding of polar climate changes through the application of NCAR Community Earth System Model (CESM) and the Los Alamos Sea Ice Model (CICE). These models have already been compiled in a cluster server for efficiency.
The Ph.D. program starts on March 1, 2021, is open to applicants holding a Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering and geophysical sciences (including meteorology and oceanography). Also students currently still working on their MSc thesis are encouraged to apply.
