The scientific laboratory of excellence “Labex SIGNALIFE” is comprised of 6 leading research institutes from Nice, France with the participation of 49 top-level research teams. The research teams are grouped around five major topics relating to Cell Signaling in Biology:
1) Cellular architecture of signaling pathways (8 PhD projects)
2) Plasticity and signaling (4 PhD projects)
3) Stress signaling (4 PhD projects)
4) Signaling in aging and disease progression (13 PhD projects)
5) New principles in signaling and applications (4 PhD projects)
Description
International PhD program - description
The Labex SIGNALIFE is currently seeking applications from outstanding students in the Life Sciences for a total of 25 highly competitive, fully funded PhD positions in the area of Cell Signaling. Students can choose among 33 PhD possible projects. Our program offers a comprehensive package of additional training activities throughout the duration of the thesis to provide students with a range of skills important for a successful career in science. All classes will be in English.
Candidates
Candidates must have achieved academic excellence and be highly motivated to pursue a PhD project in one of the above research areas. Applicants must hold or receive, before enrollment in the program, a university degree that qualifies them to enter a PhD or equivalent program such as a Masters 2 diploma. A minimum of 6 months laboratory experience is essential.
