Groups of vocational education and training (VET) learners from European Union member states, Norway and Iceland are invited to share their VET experience through a photostory for a chance to win a trip to the European vocational skills week in Vienna or the Thessaloniki international film festival in November 2018.
Promoting excellence in vocational education and training across the European Union and beyond, Cedefop launches today for third consecutive year its photo competition, #CedefopPhotoAward. The 2018 competition theme is about highlighting learners’ experiences either in initial or continuing vocational training later in life. Those who wish to participate should form a team of up to four members, who are expected to produce an original photo story along with a short narrative of up to 100 words that will explain the idea behind their work. Individual entries will not be accepted.
This year’s photo competition innovates in awarding three prizes. First and second prize winners will travel to Vienna where their work will be showcased at a gala dinner on the evening of 8 November and the award ceremony of the European vocational skills week on 9 November 2018. Third prize winner will travel to Greece for the opening of the Thessaloniki international film festival on 1 November 2018. All traveling and accommodation expenses for the best three photo stories will be covered by Cedefop and the European Commission. Cedefop will also showcase the photostories of winners and runners-up in exhibitions in both cities.
