Catsense, whose goal is to design novel high performance catalysts and biosensors based on deposited mass-selected clusters assisted by computational theoretical screening is a new FP7-ITN-Marie Curie European training project for 12 ESRs and 2 ERs in nanotechnology that has started January 1st 2014. Its innovative concept is to consider metal clusters science as a new emerging supra-disciplinary field bridging (electro) catalysis (directly applicable to fuel cell technology) and biosensing technologies that are of growing strategic importance to the global economy.
