Two fully funded PhD positions are available within the MILTON Group, Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, University of Geneva. The group employs electrochemistry to study metalloenzymes that perform reactions such as dinitrogen (N2), proton (H+) and carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction, as well as other metalloenzymes with complex electron transfer mechanisms. Our interests range from mechanistic understanding to novel biotechnologies for applications such as fertilizer production (ammonia, NH3), hydrogen production (H2) and CO2 upgrade to fuels.
