All projects use cultured rodent and human neurons, brain slices and genome editing to delete candidate genes or introduce disease-relevant variation and reporters. Main analysis tools are: cell biology, (electron-)microscopy and life cell imaging (Project 1), patch clamp physiology and fluorescence imaging (project 2) and fluorescent trafficking assays (project 3). All projects will test their main findings in more integrated models. You will be part of international research networks and exploit a variety of other analysis tools available here.
